Maker Fair at Santa Maria Public Library
Come and be creative at a free Maker Fair on Saturday, May 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Santa Maria Public Library.
Shepard Hall, the Altrusa Theater, and the Edwin and Jeanne Woods Family Foundation Learning Center will be open with more than 15 family-friendly projects to choose from, including 3-D printing, laser printing, button making, card making, book art, mosaics, and more. Friendly staff from the Library and Allan Hancock College will be on-hand to assist and make sure there are plenty of supplies.
The event is hosted by the Santa Maria Public Library, in collaboration with Allan Hancock College and the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum.
The Maker Fair is the kickoff to the Library’s Makerspace program, which will be hosting ongoing creation and discovery events. Watch the Library’s events calendar at www.cityofsantamaria.org/library for details.
The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays. The Library is closed on Sundays. The Library is located at 421 S. McClelland Street.
