Take a Stand against Crime at National Night Out
The Santa Maria community is invited to a National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 1st. Come out to the Veterans’ Memorial Park (313 West Tunnell Street) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and show support in the fight against crime. Enjoy activities and demonstrations provided by local law enforcement, fire services, and medical response agencies.
The Santa Maria Police Department along with the City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department, and People for Leisure and Youth, Inc. (PLAY) invite the community to spend an evening celebrating police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Free refreshments will be available while supplies last. In addition, informational booths and youth activities will be available at the community fair as part of the National Night Out event.
National Night Out started in 1984 as an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities while building partnerships with law enforcement and local communities.
Questions may be directed to the Recreation and Parks Department at 925-0951 extension 2260.
