Movie Night at the Library on August 14th  


The Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to show the movie La La Land, which is rated PG-13. The film will be screened on Monday, August 14th at 5:00 p.m. in Shepard Hall. This event is free and no tickets are required.


La La Land tells the story of Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern-day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing one’s dreams.


Seating is limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Freshly popped popcorn will also be served free of charge.


The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Library is closed on Sunday. The Library is located at 421 S. McClelland Street.
